Last years trip was great. I would like to do it again this year just the way Randy's group did it last year, and hope that Randy is interested in being the trail leader again this time, as he does a great job. I think the pace was good last year in that we moved camp each night and therefore did not have any extrremely long days and got off the trail early on Monday. I would be planning for Laurie and I, my son in his Rubicon and another friend with a 84 CJ, fuel injected, and fully locked.
Let's start the discussion and see what comes of it. _________________ Rubicon,5sp,all options,INCA Gold, OME 2.5 " lift, Teraflex Oilpan Skid, Viair 450H & 2.5 gal tank, Cobra CB, SwayLoc, Kilby Steering Skid, JKS 1.25" BL, JKS 1" MM spacers, GY 285/75-16 MTR's. Warn 9500Ti, . |

With all the snow in the Sierras I wonder if the Dusy will be open by September?

Well I thought I would check in to see if it is still a go for those interested. My small group of three jeeps has it on the schedule and looking forward to it. We did some shakeout of some new equipment this year in Moab, always thinking that we want it not to fail way out on the Dusy. Please post an update if you are still planning on the Dusy over Labor Day week end. _________________ Rubicon,5sp,all options,INCA Gold, OME 2.5 " lift, Teraflex Oilpan Skid, Viair 450H & 2.5 gal tank, Cobra CB, SwayLoc, Kilby Steering Skid, JKS 1.25" BL, JKS 1" MM spacers, GY 285/75-16 MTR's. We sure are. Counting down the days. We are goning to the MHJC all-4-fun the first week in August. Then we will be ready for the Dusy. We will be bringing to Rubi's and a fully locked and equiped CJ on 33's. We can work the details as we get closer, but looking to Hit the trailhead on Friday morning and get out on Monday morning as we have done in the past. _________________ Rubicon,5sp,all options,INCA Gold, OME 2.5 " lift, Teraflex Oilpan Skid, Viair 450H & 2.5 gal tank, Cobra CB, SwayLoc, Kilby Steering Skid, JKS 1.25" BL, JKS 1" MM spacers, GY 285/75-16 MTR's. |
|
|
In the past we always did a hotel in Clovis and left our tow vehicles at the hotel for the week end. This time we thought that we would drop the tow vehicles in Shaver and camp Thursday night at Courtwright at Voyager Rock camp.
So is there a good place to stash the tow vehicles in Shaver? There will be two trucks with trailers, plus a pickup.
How long does it take to get from Shaver to Voyager? I f I figured for 3 hours would that be about right? _________________ Rubicon,5sp,all options,INCA Gold, OME 2.5 " lift, Teraflex Oilpan Skid, Viair 450H & 2.5 gal tank, Cobra CB, SwayLoc, Kilby Steering Skid, JKS 1.25" BL, JKS 1" MM spacers, GY 285/75-16 MTR's.
